I have spent almost $200 per night to stay at a hotel in the area (Arcata Choice Inn) that was a real dump. Lots of noisy kids and an unbelievably unfriendly staff.

Location of hotel on busy street so there is a lot of vehicle noise.

My stay was not allowed due to having pets. I always travel with the two dogs (very house trained). I always reserve with pet friendly hotels. How I was sent to a "no pet" hotel is not clear. I had to go find a hotel that allowed pets. It cost me much more. Your refusal to reverse the "pre-paid" charges prevents me for every using or recommending your services again. ...read more

This hotel was inexpensive, relative to other hotels in the area. Having said that, it was very noisy and the amenities were poor. The free Super Start Breakfast was a huge disappointment and we ended up not even eating there, as there were only donuts to eat. ...read more

The service was great when we arrived. Very polite and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was hard. We were very excited about the heated pool and hot tub but sadly did not get to use either because there were about 7 unruly kids splashing around at about 9:30pm, and the lady in the hot tub had her very young child in with her maybe 1 year old. The hotel was cheap. There was no AC and the heater was on and could not be shut off. We had to open the window, but we were on the ground floor with external doors with no security measures on the screen windows. The hotel sits between to very busy roads so there is constant traffic and foot traffic. I had to stay awake most of the night watching to make sure no one pushed the screen out and came in. I would not ever stay here again.
